System Administrator

Your Mission: Architect, Lead, and Execute 

• Infrastructure Architecture & Strategy: Assess our current environment and design future-proof, scalable solutions for our datacenter, network, and cloud presence. 
• Hands-On Technical Leadership: Deploy, manage, and optimize our core technologies, including our virtualization platforms, enterprise storage, and advanced security solutions. 
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead a team of engineers and helpdesk specialists, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. 

Core Responsibilities & Impact: 

• Design & Manage: Take ownership of our datacenter and hybrid cloud architecture, including VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and Microsoft Azure integrations. 
• Administer & Secure: Master our Microsoft ecosystem, including Active Directory, ADFS, Group Policy, and the full M365 suite (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint). 
• Optimize & Protect: Configure and manage enterprise storage (Dell Unity/VxRail), network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VLANs), and multi-layered security using Sophos, Fortinet, and Cloudflare (WAF, Zero Trust). 
• Ensure Resilience: Maintain and enhance our business continuity with robust backup and disaster recovery solutions like Veeam, Druva, and Veritas. 
• Lead & Grow: Mentor junior staff, manage IT projects, and collaborate with business leaders to align technology with institutional goals. 
• Required Experience: 
• Proven Leadership: A minimum of 7+ years in IT, with 3+ years in an infrastructure leadership or senior architectural role. 
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 

Deep, Hands-On Expertise In: 

• Virtualization: VMware vSphere (vCenter, HA, DRS) and Microsoft Hyper-V/SCVMM. 
• Microsoft Enterprise Stack: Advanced Active Directory, ADFS, GPO, and hybrid Azure AD/M365 environments. 
• Networking & Security: Designing and managing complex LAN/WANs, VLANs, and enterprise firewalls (Sophos/Fortinet). 
• Storage & Backup: Managing enterprise SAN/NAS systems (Dell EMC Unity/VxRail) and backup solutions (Veeam/Druva). 
• Cloud Technologies: Proven experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, Storage, Networking, Identity). 
• Preferred Qualifications ( 
• You are an ideal candidate if you hold certifications such as: 
• Microsoft: MCSE / Azure Administrator (AZ-104) 
• Cisco: CCNA 
• VMware: VCP / VCTA 
• Firewall: Fortinet NSE / Sophos Certified Engineer 
• ITSM: ITIL Foundation
