Specialist, Plant Supply Chain

The Material Follow-Up Specialist ensures the timely and complete delivery of materials, parts, and assemblies from local/overseas suppliers to the manufacturing plant. This role focuses on monitoring supplier performance, coordinating shipments, and ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet production demands. Job Role Key Functional Responsibilities Monitor Supplier Performance: Track and document any issues or delays from suppliers. Communicate promptly with suppliers to resolve shipment problems. Maintain a detailed log of supplier performance for ongoing analysis and improvement. Expedite Shipments Coordinate/arrange urgent shipments when necessary. Inform relevant teams about expected delivery times for expedited shipments. Monitor shipment updates/statuses in the SAP and TMS, including Estimated Dates of Arrival (EDAs) and Estimated Times of Arrival (ETAs). Participate in root cause analysis for issues resulted to premium transportation. Maintain Inventory Records Ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained in the SAP system by min/max evaluation. Monitor results of inventory counts and discrepancies.
