About this role
Leads the development and expansion of Electromechanical contracting business by identifying and qualifying new markets, acquiring strategic projects and clients, and growing the company’s share in targeted sectors within and beyond Egypt. The role is responsible for building and managing key client relationships, driving a healthy pipeline of opportunities, and ensuring that SEI value proposition is effectively communicated and converted into awarded projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Proactively identify, research, and qualify new markets, sectors, and geographic areas for contracting projects by monitoring public and private tenders, industry platforms, and market intelligence sources.
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective projects and key accounts by systematically prospecting consultants, main contractors, project owners, and developers in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
Lead initial client engagement by conducting high impact meetings and site visits, presenting SEI portfolio and capabilities, and positioning the company on approved vendor/contractor lists for target clients.
Conduct structured market research on competitor offerings, pricing trends, technologies, and customer needs to generate actionable insights and recommend strategic focus areas for the contracting business.
Translate client and project requirements into clear internal briefs for technical studies teams, ensuring accurate understanding of scope, technical specifications, commercial terms, and project risks.
Coordinate and follow up on the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for contracting tenders, ensuring compliance with tender documents, alignment with SEI strategy, and timely submission.
Present proposals and value propositions to decision makers, lead negotiations on price, scope, and contractual terms within authorized limits, and secure award decisions in coordination with the Business Development Manager.
Build, develop, and sustain long term relationships with key clients and stakeholders by conducting regular review meetings, capturing feedback, and identifying cross selling or upselling opportunities across SEI offerings.
Maintain accurate and up to date records of opportunities, client interactions, proposals, and contract status in the CRM or designated tracking tools, providing reliable reports and forecasts to management.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth handover of awarded projects, clear communication of contractual commitments, and alignment on client expectations.
Monitor ongoing projects from a business development perspective, checking client satisfaction, identifying variation or extension opportunities, and supporting commercial issue resolution when required.
Prepare periodic business development reports and dashboards covering pipeline status, hit rate, market trends, and competitor activities, and recommend corrective or improvement actions to achieve set targets.
