Cabin Engineer - Base Maintenance

The successful candidate will carry out and supervise Cabin Base Maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft within the corresponding licence category. The role includes inspections, defect rectification, repairs, and component replacement related to cabin systems and interiors, ensuring aircraft serviceability and operational readiness. The position ensures that all maintenance activities are performed, certified, and recorded accurately and in a timely manner, in full compliance with approved data, regulatory requirements, and the airline’s maintenance procedures, maintaining airworthiness at all times. Key Result Responsibilities Operational Excellence Constantly verifies and ensures compatibility and readiness of cabin appearance materials and components on aircraft as per approved standards and quantity to be used as and when needed. Reviews assigned task cards with the Cabin Engineer Leads to gain full understanding of the work, priorities, documentation requirements and cautions, prior to starting work. Prepares and performs scheduled cabin maintenance according to assigned task cards, ensuring feasibility and cost effectiveness; ensures that the required documentation, parts, tools and GSE are obtained and used per issued instructions (wherever applicable). Carries out component test and inspection tasks to the standard necessary to fully identify and record any defects or damage in accordance with approved maintenance procedures. Performs defect rectification in accordance with Aircraft Approved Data and instructions provided by Engineering Department. Signs off maintenance tasks performed or supervised within the scope of own authorisation, verifying that the task card and associated documents have been completed to the required standard following completion of all maintenance. Manages communications with other Engineers and Technicians related to the assigned tasks, ensuring proper coordination, continuity and handover of work.

Requirements

Holds /has held an Aeronautical diploma or equivalent in applicable engineering and necessary Aircraft Maintenance License and company maintenance approvals on the relevant component of Airbus A320. Ability to obtain an unrestricted GCAA CAR 66 corresponding Category License. Able to demonstrate In-depth maintenance knowledge. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to a good standard for technical communications. Good computer skills (Microsoft Office) Ability to obtain UAE Driver’s License.
