Social Media Manager — Science Pitcher Full-Time | Remote If you think social media is just posting, this role isn’t for you. At Science Pitchers, we don’t treat social media as content. We’re looking for a performance-driven Social Media Manager who understands both content and numbers—someone who can turn meaningful ideas into content that builds authority, drives engagement, and scales growth. About Science Pitchers Science Pitchers is a global science communication platform helping scientists, researchers, and innovators transform complex ideas into clear, compelling stories. We combine education, storytelling, and media to make knowledge accessible—and impactful. Our work reaches audiences across multiple countries, building trust and authority at scale. Role Overview You will own the end-to-end social media process: From idea → execution → optimization This role combines: Strategy (what to say & why) Execution (creating high-quality content) Optimization (improving performance through data) You’ll work closely with the creative team to ensure consistent quality and measurable growth. What You’ll Be Responsible For Social Media Management & Execution Manage and publish content across multiple platforms Plan and execute structured content calendars Create, tweak, and publish engaging content consistently Use scheduling and content management tools Content Creation & AI Write platform-specific, high-performing content Use AI tools effectively (prompt engineering basics) Design clean, professional visuals using Canva Edit short-form videos (basic → intermediate) Optimize content for reach and engagement Strategy & Growth Apply and test growth strategies Stay updated with trends and platform changes Analyze performance (engagement, reach, growth) Continuously improve content based on data Quality Control & Collaboration Review and improve team output Maintain brand tone and consistency Collaborate with team members and contributors

Requirements

Proven experience in social media management Strong content writing skills Familiarity with AI tools and prompt engineering basics Canva design skills Basic to intermediate video editing Strong understanding of analytics and performance tracking Ability to work independently and stay consistent Strong communication skills Good to Have LinkedIn & B2B content experience Photography / videography (events, podcasts, etc.) Understanding of branding and storytelling Experience with tools like Premiere, After Effects, or CapCut Nice to Have (Stand-Out Skills) Advanced video editing (cinematic / storytelling / motion graphics) Funnel building or lead generation knowledge Experience optimizing content for conversion, not just engagement
